古谷浩一 Hirokazu Furutani Handmade Earthenware High Ground Plates

This plates  is made of iron sulfide ceramic stone by Artisan Hirokazu Furuya .
It has the characteristic that iron is emitted from the surface of the iron sheet during baking. There are dark brown spots. This is a normal phenomenon of handmade works. 
Each plate is handmade and will vary slightly in texture and size.
Pottery works may have black spots, pinholes, uneven glaze, etc. This is the characteristic of handmade works.

Origin: Shiga Prefecture, Japan

Care:

1. Add neutral detergent to warm water, wipe with a sponge or soft cloth, rinse with clean water and air dry naturally.
2. Avoid soaking for a long time and try to wash by hand to avoid bumping (the use of a dishwasher is not recommended)
3. Avoid using steel balls and oven heating
