HAKUSAN Pottery Flat Bowl Chawan

Born in Shiota Town, Saga Prefecture. Studied design at the Department of Craft Design at Tama Art University, and joined Hakusan Ceramic Design Office in 1956.
His ceramic designs, created under the policy of "thinking about tableware for daily use, creating shapes, producing them in factories, and sharing and living with many people, are the joy of design," have won numerous international design awards, including the Good Design Award.
Even after leaving the company in 1978, he continued to be active in overseeing and producing the "Yakimono Park" in the town, as well as mentoring and training the next generation.
